A new twist on an old favorite, green bean casserole is one of the favorite Thanksgiving day side dishes. We’ve taken the old favorite and changed it just slightly. Cheese goes great with anything at all but with green beans, cheese is a total hit.
Try using a different kind of green bean casserole this Thanksgiving day and see if it doesn’t become a new family favorite. We love our cheesy green bean casserole and those new french fried onions with cheese are a perfect combination for the cheesy flavor.
Our Green Bean casserole with a twist is remarkable and as easy to make as the original.
To Make Cheesy Green Bean Casserole You Will Need
3 can french cut green beans
6 slices of Kraft Deluxe American Cheese
1 can Campbells Cream of Chicken Soup
1 small can french fried onion rings with cheese.
To Make the casserole
Drain the green beans and empty into an oven save casserole dish, crush one half of the can of french friend onions and mix them into the green beans. Stir one half can water and one full can of cream of chicken soup together and pour over the green bean mixture, stirring lightly to avoid breaking your green beans.
Tear the cheese into strips and mix into the casserole. Top with the remaining french fried onions.
Bake at 350 for approximately 25 minutes or until heated through and bubbling and the cheese has melted.
